Why should I use dark chocolate chips instead of milk?
Dark chocolate with a cocoa content of between 70-100% is free from the added milk and sugar you find in milk chocolate. It brings that rich cocoa taste to the table in a vegan-friendly vessel, that's minimally processed and equally delicious!
If you don't enjoy dark chocolate, you could always use dried fruit such as goji berries, dried apricots or dried currants instead.
Cacao Plant Protein Cookie Dough Bites Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 460g drained & rinsed Organic chickpeas
- 60ml maple syrup
- 60g Organic coconut flour
- 20g Cacao Plant Protein
- 5ml vanilla extract
- 40g dark chocolate chips
- Pinch of salt
METHOD
- Place all ingredients aside from the chocolate chips into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth
- Add the mixture to a large glass bowl and stir in the dark chocolate chips until evenly dispersed
- Use an ice cream scoop to scoop into cookie dough balls, place on a lined baking tray and refrigerate
Enjoy within 4-5 days, straight from the fridge!
