Why do we use frozen strawberries? 🍓
We love using frozen fruit in blended shakes and smoothie recipes.
Not only is frozen fruit usually cheaper to buy than fresh, but you can also freeze any fruit you have which is a little past its best.
That way you can lock in its goodness, prevent food waste and give your fruit a new lease of life using it in a recipe such as this one.
Once frozen, fruit will last in the freezer for at least 6 months. When ready to use, simply add to your blender still frozen for a boost of nutrition and to create a cool and refreshing shake.

STRAWBERRY PROTEIN SMOOTHIE RECIPE
VEGAN, GLUTEN-FREE & DAIRY-FREE
- 200g frozen strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1 tablespoon Cacao Plant Protein
- 1 tablespoon yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)
- 200ml oat/nut milk
- Place all the ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy - pour into a glass and enjoy!
