Rheal 🤝 Ecologi: 2025 Update

With Ecologi we’ve already planted over 1 million trees, and since climbed to #2 on their global leaderboard - giving Superfoods a whole new meaning!

A flourishing future for Gewocha Forest, Ethiopia

Years of poor land management have caused significant soil degradation in the Gewocha Forest region of Ethiopia. To help combat this, we are supporting the rehabilitation of this land, which will benefit the local community and their livelihood. One of the project's goals is to boost family income through irrigation-based vegetable production, which we aim to support over our next years efforts.

Mangrove planting at Kandrany, Madagascar

Over the past few years, Madagascar has lost large areas of its original forests, making it harder for local communities to farm and live on the land, and forcing many animal species from their natural habitats. Sadly, entire mangrove estuaries have disappeared too, leaving the coastline vulnerable as the bare earth washes into the sea. That’s why we’re proud to support mangrove restoration projects in Madagascar. These efforts are helping to bring life back to the coastline, and so far, we’ve helped fund the planting of mangroves across roughly 600 hectares of this precious and once-degraded region.

Forest restoration in Kenya

Around 18% of forest cover has been lost from one of Kenya’s key water sources, putting water access at risk for over 5 million people. To help restore the area and protect its future, Ecologi is working to plant 2.5 million trees—reviving ecosystems, supporting wildlife, and safeguarding vital water supplies.

We’re so incredibly proud of the impact we’ve made so far with Ecologi. We’ve planted over 1.7 million trees and climbed to #2 on their global leaderboard - pretty amazing for a small team with big plans!
