Pre + Probiotic combines a spore-forming probiotic (Bacillus coagulans- Lactospore®) with prebiotic golden kiwi extract, zinc carnosine and Aquamin® marine calcium to support gut balance, digestion and gut lining health. Each ingredient plays a specific role in supporting the microbiome and digestive system, gently and effectively.
Why does Pre + Probiotic only contain one probiotic strain?
This formula uses a single, well-studied strain to provide targeted and predictable support. Multi-strain blends can sometimes worsen symptoms in people with sensitive digestion. A single-strain approach is often better tolerated and allows for gentler, more consistent support.
Why does this formula contain 10 billion spores, when others contain much higher numbers?
Many probiotic bacteria do not survive stomach acid and are broken down before reaching the intestines. Because Bacillus coagulans is spore-forming, a higher proportion of the bacteria survive digestion and reach the gut alive. This means a lower dose can still be effective compared with products that rely on very high counts to compensate for low survival. In clinical research, Bacillus coagulans has commonly been studied at doses of 2–3 billion spores, where improvements in digestive comfort and gut function have been observed.
