Changing the collagen game - a new way to consume collagen for real, proven benefits.
We have just launched our brand new, game-changing Plant Collagen Superfood Blend. Created to provide a natural, plant-based and effective alternative to the ever growing collagen market, designed to help your skin achieve that daily glow 🌷
What makes Plant Collagen special? Plant Collagen contains a groundbreaking ingredient called Astrion®. Astrion® is a clinically proven phyto-compound, composed of highly purified plants to help rejuvenate your skin.
Plant Collagen has been specially formulated to help you glow inside and out, by encouraging your own body’s collagen production to optimise skin rejuvenation and elasticity, and enhance hair growth. It has been purposefully developed to be an effective plant-based alternative to other collagen options.
How does our Plant Collagen work?
Plant Collagen is made up of six highly effective, skin-loving ingredients. Our hero ingredient, Astrion®, has been proven in human studies to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and skin hydration. To understand how Astrion® works, you need to understand a little about collagen and hyaluronic acid. Collagen is a protein with a matrix-like structure, which acts as a scaffold to provide structural support for the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a carbohydrate molecule which can bind large amounts of water, which is crucial for skin hydration and firmness - giving you that gorgeous glow. Astrion® works by providing your cells with the building blocks to increase collagen and hyaluronic acid production.
One of the most exciting things about Astrion® is its long term action. Astrion® activates an enzyme called telomerase which has a powerful anti-aging effect. Telomerase slows down the breakdown of collagen and elastane, and protects against UV damage. Plant Collagen works hard - increasing collagen production in our cells and delivering long term skin benefits.
It has been developed to be highly effective in a small serving size of 5g (one teaspoon), and with extra added Vitamin C which plays a crucial role in the production of collagen and helps the formation of elastin, a protein that gives our skin elasticity.

The Types of Collagen
To understand how effective different collagen products are for you, it helps to understand a bit about the type of collagen. There are actually 28 different types of collagen. However, in the world of nutrition and supplements, three of them take the top spot.
Collagen I - This is the most prevalent type of collagen, it makes up 90% of your bodies overall collagen. It is composed of very densely packed fibres that provide structure for our connective tissues, including our hair skin and nails.
Collagen II - This type is found mainly in cartilage, it takes the form of loosely packed fibres which cushions your joints supporting overall movement and shock absorption.
Collagen III - This is the second most abundant collagen type and supports internal structures within the body such as muscles, organs and arteries.
Plant Collagen and Other Collagen Products
Plant Collagen is different from other collagens on the market for many reasons including;
🧪 Clinically proven ingredients.
🐰 Plant Collagen is plant-based, unlike bovine or marine collagen.
🌱 Plant Collagen uses clean, thoughtful ingredients - no fillers or artificial nasties added.
🧡 142mg Vitamin C per serving (178% of your daily RI) - a critical factor for collagen synthesis.
💰 Under £1.15 per serving - available from £1.13
Let's have a look at other collagen products on the market.
What is animal collagen?
Most animal collagen is derived from bovine sources, it is the most readily available form of collagen currently on the market. It can be found in powder, pill, cream or liquid form. It has shown to increase levels of type I, II and III collagen.
Bovine collagen is derived from cattle. It is extracted from the skin, muscles, and bones of bovine species such as bison, yak and cows. But the most common method of obtaining bovine collagen protein is cowhides, bones, tendons and other parts.
What is marine collagen?
Marine collagen is sourced from seafood products – typically from the skin of fish or crustaceans. Marine collagen is a type I collagen.
Marine collagen can be used in a variety of forms, as a powder, pill, liquid form or even as a cream. Fish collagen is absorbed up to 1.5 times more efficiently into the body than Bovine Collagen due to its smaller particle size.
What makes Plant Collagen better than marine and animal collagen?
It is important to understand that you cannot get collagen from plants. However Astrion® is clinically proven to increase our ability to produce more collagen, thus acting as a collagen supplement. Plant Collagen is 100% plant-based, gluten-free and coeliac friendly and therefore more suitable for a wide range of diets or preferences. Animal and marine based collagen products are sourced from animal skin, bone, cartilage, and scales which could potentially contain contaminants like pesticides and antibiotics that unfortunately come from the animal and fish farms or factories.
The exact specific human amino acid sequence is different to that of bovine or marine collagen, as we are different species. Another fantastic thing about Astrion® is that it ensures that our body replicates the specific structure of our own natural collagen. Bovine and marine collagen do not contain the amino acid typtophan which is a key component of human collagen.
Astrion® has also been clinically proven to increase levels of all three collagen types (I,II,III) with the biggest increase in collagen I, which is the collagen needed to support healthy skin, hair and nails.
Collagen extracted from bovine or marine sources, comes with the potential risk of allergic reactions, and poor consistency or quality. Plant-based collagen minimises these issues and has none of the ethical and environmental implications either. In fact, our supplier of Astrion® is a B Corp - meaning they prioritise doing good for people and the planet (just like us).
What makes Plant Collagen better than other plant-based collagen products on the market?
What makes Plant Collagen so special is that it is completely natural and 100% clean nutrition. As with all of our Superfood Blends, what you see on the front of the packaging, is what you get. We only source natural, clean ingredients so you can be confident with what you are putting in your body. Plant Collagen contains six skin-loving ingredients, each chosen for a purpose. This differs from other vegan collagens which are often artificially or chemically produced and contain artificial ingredients or fillers to bulk them out.
Plant Collagen is currently the only clinically proven effective plant-based collagen alternative available.
Other benefits of Plant Collagen
As well as playing an important role in skin appearance and elasticity, Plant Collagen can also help with joint pain or stiffness by increasing the production of glucosamine. Glucosamine is used by the body to help build tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and the fluid that surrounds joints. Joints are cushioned by the fluid and cartilage that surrounds them. Increasing glucosamine may help to increase the cartilage and fluid around joints and help prevent their breakdown, helping with conditions such as osteoarthritis or joint pain.
