Can I make this recipe without the strawberry syrup?
This recipe includes a simple and easy homemade strawberry syrup. It's made with just 2 ingredients and ready in 5 minutes, so even if you're a kitchen novice you'll be able to master it!
The strawberry syrup brings a lovely natural sweetness to our nourishing lemonade. It also creates a really impressive layered effect that is perfect for wowing your friends with a healthy mocktail!
However, if you don't have the ingredients to hand or are in a hurry, you can also make this lemonade without the strawberry syrup for an easy Clean Greens tonic.
STRAWBERRY NOURISH LEMONADE RECIPE
SUGAR-FREE, GLUTEN-FREE, DAIRY-FREE & HEALTHY
- 30ml strawberry syrup
- 200ml sparkling water
- 1teaspoon Clean Greens
- Juice of half a lemon
- 200g frozen strawberries
- 20ml maple syrup
- 50ml water
- :Mix half the sparkling water with the lemon juice and Clean Greens
- To make your own strawberry syrup cook the frozen strawberries on a low to medium heat until soft, then add the maple syrup and water before roughly mashing and straining into jar - allow to cool
- Add the cooled strawberry syrup to a glass followed by crushed iced, the remainder of the sparkling water and then the sparkling water mixed with lemon and Clean Greens
- Serve with a reusable straw and a sprig of mint - if you're feeling fancy!
